Why Therapy?
Mental Health issues impact over a quarter of the US population every year (almost half the population over a lifetime). In America, we've built our culture on mantras like "pull yourself up by your bootstraps." Mantras that assume we should solve our own problems without help. But this thinking doesn't help. We don't seek help when we need it, our symptoms get more severe, and we're forced to live with destructive behaviors that hurt ourselves and those we love.
I believe therapy provides an opportunity to help us achieve a more connected, compassionate and self-disciplined existence. By focusing on our mental health, we don't just change how we feel about our lives, we change how we live our lives. We learn what makes us content, and how to articulate our desires to others. These skills increase your ability to improve your health, quality of relationships and life.

"My role is to empower you and remind you of your strengths. I want to create an environment where you feel comfortable embracing your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and behaviors, and guide you when you find a mismatch between your intentions and how you're living your daily life."

I do not take insurance, but I can provide a monthly billing statement (i.e. Superbill) to help you get reimbursed by your insurance company. Learn more about why I don't take insurance. PAYMENT METHODS:
I accept payment by cash, check, VenMo, Square or PayPal prior to or at the time of service. Payment prior to time of service is required for locations other than my office. LATE FEES: Full payment is expected at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon. A grace period will be allowed with no late fee if payment is received by 6:00 pm the next business day. After 6pm on the next business day, there will be a $20 charge for late payments made within the same week, and a $30 charge the next business week. I do not permit clients to carry a balance of more than two sessions and if you are unable to pay this balance, we will discuss whether it makes sense to pause your care or develop another strategy.
